Love it or hate it, The Man With The Golden Gun will celebrate it's 40th anniversary later this year.
This is the first of two TV spots for The Man With The Golden Gun captured by our very own 'Q' branch from original 1974 16mm film reels (the other one will be posted soon, but at the moment it is still being color corrected). Reels like these would be sent out to the TV stations in their thousands, and usually each station would end up with multiple copies. Back then, most TV shows and their commercials ran straight from film reels like these and the commercials especially would wear out very quickly. Luckily for us, this particular reel was one of those extras that remained on the shelf and never ran - it still had the sticker on it - so it is in excellent condition for a 40 year old piece of film.

Roger Moore as James Bond 007
back in action in the exotic east. On a collision course with the most dangerous man alive The Man With The Golden Gun. James Bond on the job. The girls are willing. The pace is killing. You'll meet old friends... and new enemies. "Monsieur Scaramanga will welcome you." The action is spectacular. Reaching a new high for 007. Don't miss Roger Moore in The Man With The Golden Gun. Rated PG.
